"Engkau menciptakan setiap bagian badanku, dan membentuk aku dalam rahim ibuku."
(BIS, Maz 139:13)
Have a friend, whose baby is being diagnosed of a certain metabolism disorder.
Studying the mechanism of the disorder, I realised how complex our body is.
Without mentioning human's ability to adapt, think, feel... which remains a mistery, the bio-chemistry of our body is one amazing engineering feat.
Hundreds of enzymes, glands, cycles, each closely interrelated. One enzyme acts as an inhibitor or a stimulator of another enzyme. All control signals are delivered in real-time accurately, using these bio-chemical reactions.
Does it make me stand in awe in God who designed this?
Is human's existence just another coincidence in space: some meteors hitting our earth that change the climate and giving 'birth' to predecessor of human?
Or is it part of a grand design?
A distinctive, special creation?
Du großer Gott,
Wenn ich die Welt betrachte,
Die du geschaffen
Durch dein Allmachtswort,
Wenn ich auf alle
Jene Wesen achte,
Die du regierst
Und nährest fort und fort.
